SANDY, UT - WCF Insurance has announced the retirement of senior vice president and chief human resources officer, Kris McFarland, after an invaluable 13-year tenure.
Kris joined WCF in 2011, bringing with him over 3 decades of expertise in human resources spanning various sectors including, education, construction, insurance, and high tech. During his time at WCF, Kris played a vital role in shaping the company’s mission, values, and overall employee relations and development strategies. His dedication, leadership, and wealth of experience have left a lasting mark on the organization and its employees.
In conjunction with Kris’ retirement, WCF is excited to announce the promotion and appointment of vice president Jill Christensen, to senior vice president and chief human resources officer. Jill has been an integral part of the WCF team since 2002, starting in the claims department before transitioning to human resources in 2013. With her extensive background in talent development, recruiting, benefits and compensation, Jill is well-positioned to lead the human resources function and drive strategic initatives that support the company’s objectives. Jill holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Utah and a master’s of public administration from Brigham Young University. She is also certified as a senior professional in human resources by the Human Resource Certification Institute.
