WCF Awards 21 Scholarships to Children and Spouses of Workers Lost in Work-related Accidents

SALT LAKE CITY, August 6, 2020 – At the 30th annual Legacy of Learning Scholarship Luncheon, WCF Insurance awarded scholarships to further the education of 21 children and spouses of workers who lost their lives in work-related incidents. 

Since the Legacy of Learning program's inception in 1990, more than 1,240 scholarships and more than $2.4 million have been awarded to spouses and children of deceased workers insured by WCF. The Legacy of Learning event recognizes recipients for their continued courage and commitment to achieving academic success.

“Every year, we are inspired by the scholarship recipients whose abilities and energy help them overcome life’s challenges,” said WCF CEO and president, Ray Pickup. “Even after having suffered the tragic loss of a loved one, these strong people are seeking to grow and improve.
