The first web site was a converted book. I took the annual report of the UCSF breast cancer SPORE grant (a 90 page document) and turned it into a web site. The grant had 100 participants and 15 components. The site included a directory of the people working on the grant, and linked each person to the relevant component(s). This site has since been modified and re-designed, so I am afraid I have nothing left to show for it, except for my HTML skills.
The second site I wrote was for my Israeli professional organization - Israeli Association for Management and Monitoring of Clinical Trials. I did this as a volunteer effort, because I wanted to see it happen. Being a bilingual site made it a challenge, but the fact that the two languages are written in opposite directions made for a natural layout. I am afraid this site has been lacking in content, but it is a good infrastructure once someone gets around to providing content.
The third site I wrote is my home page. I never thought I would need one, but here you have it. I wrote it for the benefit of potential employers and informational interviewees. I hope you are enjoying this site. I hope to continue updating this site beyond my current job search. Any suggestions and feedback will be appreciated.
